A cosmetics company's gala dinner in the gardens of the Palacio de los Córdova, in Granada. The event ran across several areas —gardens, hall, façade and stage— inside a historic building, which is where an installation gets difficult: there is nowhere to hide equipment and the cabling has to stay clear of the tables.
Vision and sound
- Outdoor LED screen of 4 × 2.5 m at 2 mm pitch, bright enough to read while there is still daylight
- Turbosound system, distributed for even coverage across the dining area
- Sennheiser digital wireless microphones for the speeches
- Roland VR-120HD vision mixer, driving the screen and feeding the live stream
- Certified modular stage
4K mapping on the façade
The palace façade was used as the screen, with 4K projection and content built to the shape of the building. It is the part people remember, and the part that has to be measured and aligned on site: every façade has its own ledges and setbacks.
Lighting, area by area
- Entrance gardens: more than 20 decorative LED bars — the first thing a guest sees on arrival
- Entrance and hall: 32 LED spots for architectural lighting
- DJ area: Pioneer equipment with Electro Voice amplification and synchronised lighting
Get-in and get-out
Four technicians and two vehicles, with the build, the operation through dinner and the strike all inside the hours the building allows.
