A permanent installation for a debating chamber and round-table room: microphones with floor management, cameras that follow whoever is speaking, and sound reinforcement built into the furniture.
What was installed
- 35 high-sensitivity Vissonic microphones with floor management
- 2 cameras with automatic tracking, tied to microphone activation
- Digital control unit for speaking turns and video switching
- 10 three-inch speakers built into the round table
The cameras react to the microphones: someone opens theirs and the shot is already on them. There is no vision mixer in the room, no operator following the debate — which for a session that runs for hours is the difference between recording it and staffing it.
Sound around the table
Speakers distributed around the perimeter of the table mean every participant hears clearly without the volume having to be raised for the room. It also keeps the room looking like a meeting room rather than a control room.
