Electronic voting system for the Spanish Congress
Installation and commissioning of the electronic voting system in the Spanish Congress chamber, with 350 seats and real-time results.
Electrónica Galán was selected to upgrade the electronic voting system of the Spanish Congress, replacing the previous equipment with a state-of-the-art solution.
The project included the design, manufacture and installation of 350 voting terminals integrated into the seats, with individual touch screens, card identification and three voting modes: roll-call, secret and weighted.
The entire system was integrated with the existing parliamentary management software, enabling instant display of results on the chamber screens.
Results
The system was installed within 3 weeks during the parliamentary recess, without disrupting institutional activity. Since its launch, it has processed over 2,000 votes without technical incidents, reducing the average voting time from 8 to 2 minutes.
