Granada cross-country Grand Prix: mobile LED and PA
Mobile LED screen truck, professional PA and independent power for a touring athletics circuit around the towns of the province of Granada.
The Diputación de Granada's cross-country Grand Prix is a touring circuit: it moves from town to town across the province, and every stage has to look the same as the last one. We are its technical sponsor, which in practice means arriving early, setting up in a square or a school yard, and taking it all down again that evening.
LED screen truck
- Outdoor screen of roughly 6 × 3.5 m at 3.9 mm pitch, mounted on the mobile unit
- Over 5,000 nits of brightness, which is what it takes to read a screen outdoors at midday
- Hydraulic deployment in under 15 minutes, the reason a touring circuit is viable at all
- 4G/LTE connectivity to update content from wherever the stage happens to be
- IP54 against rain, wind and dust
The screen carries race times, standings and results live, alongside the sponsors' content.
PA system
Professional speakers distributed across the start and finish areas, with wireless microphones for presenters, officials and commentators, and central level control from the mobile sound position. The PA is tied to the timing system, so start calls and standings are announced without anyone having to read them off a screen.
A 50 kVA generator runs the whole installation. No stage depends on what power happens to be available in that particular town square, which is the single thing that most often derails an event like this.
The same setup at every stage
Same configuration, same checks, technical staff on site for the whole day and a test run at least two hours before the start. Runners and public get an identical experience in the last town of the circuit and in the first.
