The 2025 National Gastronomy Awards, given by the Real Academia de Gastronomía, were held outside Madrid for the first time in their history. The venue was the Palacio de los Córdova in Granada, with the Alhambra in the background — which is a gift for the cameras and a problem for the lighting.
What the installation covered
- Giant LED screen, positioned so the whole room could follow the speeches and the presentations
- Sennheiser microphones and a digital desk, which held a clean, steady voice in a room full of phones
- High-definition recording, with material ready for press and social media as soon as the gala ended
- Live technical coordination between lighting, sound and screen content
What a gala is judged on is the transitions. Award, speech, video, next award — if lighting, sound and screen are not in step, the evening feels amateur no matter how good each piece is on its own.
